SL250
The SL250 Series Contact Angle and Interfacial Tension Meter is a high-performance, optical-based instrument designed to accurately measure solid/liquid (solid/liquid/liquid) contact angles, liquid/gas surface tension, and liquid/liquid interfacial tension. This advanced meter features a mechanical surface tension testing module that utilizes the Weigh or Force method for precise measurement of liquid surface tension and the detection of organic contaminants on solid surfaces.
Key Features:
1.
Solid Cleanliness Measurement:
Utilizing the Wilhelmy plate method along with the ADSA® algorithm and
high-precision pressure-sensitive sensors, the SL250 accurately tests the
surface tension of water droplets on solid surfaces to assess cleanliness
levels.
2.
Probe Liquid Cleanliness Measurement:
Based on the ADSA® algorithm and the pendant drop method, the dosing system of
the contact angle meter allows for accurate measurements without limitations
related to the Bond Number (B Factor), ensuring the accuracy of contact angle
and surface tension results by maintaining probe liquid cleanliness.
3. Modular
Design:
The SL250 series incorporates a modular design concept, providing users with
thousands of possible configurations. This flexibility allows the instrument to
meet a wide range of research, development, and material characterization
needs.
4. Precision
and Accuracy:
The SL250 features a high-precision optical mechanical structure, optical
imaging system, accurate dosing system, and the professional CAST®3 software
for interfacial chemical analysis. The core mechanical components include precision
positioning stages with optical-grade accuracy, offering superior performance
compared to standard microscope gear-rack slides.
Key Mechanical Features:
1. Two-dimensional horizontal adjustment platform controlled by a differential head, available with either a scale of 0.01mm or a digital display of 0.001mm.
2. A 360° rotating platform for horizontal adjustment, controlled by a differential head, used for 3D contact angle testing.
3. A dual liquid dosing system (contact and non-contact), with an optional nano-liter injection needle for measuring pendant drop surface tension.
Applications:
The SL250 is an essential tool
for research, development, and material characterization in a variety of
fields. It is also ideal for teaching, R&D demonstrations, and quality
control applications involving contact angle and interfacial tension
measurements.
